Prince nos ha dejado, el mismo año que David Bowie. Según informa TheHollywoodReporter, el cadáver del cantante, hospitalizado la semana pasada con síntomas gripales, fue hallado hoy jueves en su estudio de grabación de Minnesota; aún se desconocen las causas de su fallecimiento.
Nacido como Prince Rogers Nelson hace 57 años, el prolífico músico, que acumula un total de 44 álbumes, también dejó su huella en el cine: debutó con ‘Purple Rain’ (1984), una historia semi-autobiográfica sobre un joven atormentado por los abusos familiares, personaje que rescataría en ‘Graffiti Bridge’ (1990), dirigida por él mismo. Entre medias codirigió y actuó en ‘Under the Cherry Moon’ (1986), donde interpretó a un gigoló junto a Kristin Scott Thomas.
Además produjo las exitosas bandas sonoras de 'Purple Rain', citada a menudo como una de las mejores de la historia, ‘Under the Cherry Moon’, con un disco titulado 'Parade', y 'Batman' (1989).
